Jeanette H Rice

August 25, 1931 — March 3, 2024

We are sad to announce the passing of Jeanette H Rice "Granny". Jeanette was born 8/25/31 and passed away on Sunday 3/3/24 surrounded by her family after a sudden stroke, at age 92.

She was survived by her daughter Yolanda Rice, granddaughter Lauren Barrick, grandson Nathan Barrick, great granddaughters Maria Conn and Christina Chavez, great grandsons Carmine and Carlos Lopez, great-great granddaughter Gabriella Rosales, Nephew Sam Hagerman, Niece's Kaye Kennedy and Sheryl Thomas along with extended family.

She was a bright light and will be missed tremendously. All are welcome to come and say your goodbyes

Jeanette's family found a poem in her wallet that she carried with her always;

Today

Outside my window a new day I see, and only I can determine what kind of day it's going to be.

It can be busy, sunny, laughing and gay or boring, cold, unhappy and gray. My own state of mind is the determining key, for I am the only person I let myself be. I can be thought and do all I can to help. Or be selfish and just think of myself. I can enjoy what I do and make it seem fun, or gripe and complain and make it tough on someone. I can be patient with those who may not understand. Or belittle and hurt them as much as I can. But i have faith in myself and believe what I say, and I personally intend to make the best of each day

Viewing- Thursday 3/21 from 5-7pm

Funeral ceremony- Friday 3/22 at 11 am
