Jason Durel Kirtley,
was unexpectedly called home on January 27, 2026 in, Windsor California, at the age of 42.
Born on May 03, 1983 in Sacramento, California. Jason is the oldest child to Dennis & Patty Kirtley.
Jason was a devoted parent, loving son, cherished sibling, loyal friend and coach who left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Jason was known for his kind heart, easy sense of humor, and fiercely protective nature toward those he loved. Generous and selfless, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and it’s no surprise that he was deeply loved by all who knew him. Jason took great pride in his work as a heavy equipment mechanic, enjoying the challenge of fixing and working with large machinery. Outside of work and coaching, he also had a true love for food, always appreciating a good meal and the joy that came with sharing it with others.
As a wrestling coach for Cloverdale High School, it was more than a passion—it was part of who he was. Jason loved his Cloverdale kids, he took pride in mentoring them on and off the mat. teaching them not only the sport, but also discipline, confidence, and perseverance.
Above all else, Jason was a proud father. He is survived by his three children, Alana, Lilia, and Jasen Kirtley of San Diego, California, who were the center of his world.
He is also survived by his mother, Patty Kirtley of Elk Grove, California; his brother, Brandon Kirtley (Raychel) of Canandaigua, New York; and his sisters, Paige Navarro (Edgar) of Galt, California, and Kaitlyn Simoes (Caleb) of Lodi, California.
Jason is further survived by Felipe and Maryann Robledo and family of Galt, California, Ariane Kirtley Walker of San Diego, California, and his cherished nieces and nephew, Hannah, Zoey, Ana, Harleigh, and Carson. He is also survived by his grandmother, Alice Kirtley of Brandon, Mississippi.
He will be deeply missed by his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members, all of whom will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Jason is preceded in death by his father, Dennis; grandfather Melvin Kirtley; grandparents: Ed & Roberta Parsons.
Jason’s legacy lives on through his children, his family, the athletes he coached, and the many lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.
His faith in God comforts the family knowing, he is at peace. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 13th, 2-4pm East Lawn of Elk Grove, California, with a reception to follow.
