Janet Lee Barron Call, May 24, 1964-October 20, 2024, died in the early hours of the morning, after a third recurrence of pneumonia causing her blood pressure to drop. She is survived by her five children: Clifton Tracey, Christopher Charles, Aaron Michael, Alexandra Faye Griffin, and Adrianna Estella as well as her grandchildren: Aerilyn, Landon, Scarlett, Hyrum, Jacoby and Maisie. Janet was born in Bountiful Utah to Charles Barron and Rosalie Barron (Goss), who had four other children: Susan, Carol, Mark, and David. She grew up in Sacramento, California, where she married Clifton Tracey Call Jr. on February 14, 1984. As a young woman, Janet was a spitfire. She kept up with the boys and loved sports. She was on her wrestling team, field and track, as well as basketball. She was tough and loved everyone she knew. She would fight for the people she loved and would stand up for those who couldn’t stand up for themselves. She was a strict yet supportive mother and made sure the needs of her kids were met. In 2001, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which resulted in her thyroid being removed. A short time later a tumor had formed in her brain, which resulted in a surgery that left her bedridden and a lengthy battle to recovery. Her doctors at that time told her it would only be 3-5 years before the cancer took her life, when her youngest child was only two years old. She took those odds and laughed at them. She was a fighter and determined to live to meet her grandchildren. She survived and never gave up, no matter what life threw at her. She was a beautiful spirit and touched so many hearts.
