James R. Petroske, 82, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Lincoln, California. Born on October 23, 1942, in Meriden, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Stanley Petroske and Dorothy Quinn. Jim had a deep love for his late wife, Cynthia. She was the love of his life—a sentiment he carried with him always. Jim and Cindy married in 1971, and together they raised two children, Kimberly A. Pettigrew and James C. Petroske, who survive him. Jim is also survived by his son-in-law, Michael, daughter-in-law, Amanda, as well as his precious grandchildren, siblings Marilyn E. Walka of CT and Robert J. Petroske of FL, several nieces, nephews, and other treasured relatives. Jim had a passion for sports and found great joy in coaching youth football and spending hours on the golf course—activities that brought him some of his fondest memories. He also held a special place in his heart for Hawaii—a destination that brought him peace and happiness. Jim was predeceased by his beautiful wife, Cynthia (LaRock) Petroske, father, Stanley A, his cherished mother, Dorothy Q. Petroske, and three siblings, Shirley J, and Alan E. Petroske, and Donna L. Lukonis. Jim was loved by many and will forever be missed by his family and friends.
