Jacqueline Patricia Taleon passed away on January 11, 2026, after a long and courageous journey marked by faith, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She was known by many as Trixie Taleon, as well as Jackie Taleon.
For 25 years, she lived with lupus and she faced many challenges that would have broken many but through her faith in Jesus, she met every season with strength, resilience, and grace. Doctors once gave her a limited life expectancy, yet she defied those expectations by nearly two decades. Time and time again, she beat the odds, recovered, and came home. This earned her a reputation as a true warrior among friends, and a medical wonder among doctors. Her story is a testament to her perseverance and her trust in the Lord.
Her fight became her testimony. A devoted follower of Jesus, she believed deeply that God carried her through every season of battle. She often said her strength came from her faith in the Lord and her love for her children. These beliefs sustained her, shaped the way she loved others, and defined how she lived.
In her final weeks, she continued to fight bravely, surrounded by care and love. Even in her hardest days, when pain was present, she remained deeply loved and never alone. When it became clear that her body could no longer continue, her family made the compassionate decision to focus on her comfort and peace. She passed gently, now free from suffering and resting in God’s presence.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:38–39
More than her illness, she will be remembered for how she lived. She devoted her life to loving and caring for others. She was a wife, a mother to three children, a sister to three siblings, and a cherished daughter. Beyond that, she opened her heart to many who were not related by blood but were family in every way that mattered. She treated countless people as her own children, stood beside others as a sister, and was loved by many who saw her as a daughter.
Her capacity to love knew no limits. She gave selflessly, showed up faithfully, and made people feel seen, safe, and cared for. That love, freely given and deeply returned, will continue to live on through all those she touched.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:11
We find comfort in knowing that her fight is victorious and that she now rejoices in her new body in heaven, free from pain and sickness, secure forever in the love of Christ.
“Therefore we are always confident… to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:6–8
