Henry See Ong

Henry Ong, 95, of Sacramento, passed away on April 24, 2026 in Sacramento.

Burial services will be held at 2pm May 14, 2026 at East Lawn Cemetery on Folsom Blvd. in Sacramento.

Henry Ong was born in China to Ong Wei Wing and Yu Liu Yang. He came to the United States at age 16 and went to school in Sacramento. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. He married Cathy Ong in 1957 in China. Together they raised a family in San Francisco, where he worked as a business owner in San Francisco for 36 years. He was involved in Chinese Benevolent Associations and Neighborhood Voter Awareness Organizations. He returned to Sacramento to retire and spent his later years caring for his home and wife.

Henry Ong is survived by his wife Cathy, daughter Susie and husband Duane, son Sherman, son Edmund and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Allyson, Michael, Emily, Kyle, Tyler, Jessica, Nathan, and great-Granddaughter Amira.
