Helen Alberta Devine- Toscano

Helen Devine-Toscano passed away on June 3rd, 2026, in Carmichael at her home of 60 years.

Helen was born February 17th, 1935 in Yuba City, California to Velma Shroyer and Ora Werts. She was the younger sibling of Doris and Roger who have preceded her in death.

After graduating from high school, Helen began nursing school at 18 and graduated at 20. She worked for the next 45 years as a nurse and knew it was her calling It was what she was born to do.

After the passing of her fiancé Chip, Helen married her childhood boyfriend, Jerry Thornsberry and had four children, Dennis, Jon, Carol, and Vincent.

After her marriage to Jerry, Helen found love with her 2nd husband, Andy Devine until his passing in 1997 and then again with her 3rd husband, John Toscano until his passing in 2010.

Helen is survived by her 4 children and has been blessed to enjoy her 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild.

Helen loved to go camping and take road trips and had a love for all types of animals.

Helen will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, honesty, and endless love for her children and grandchildren.
