Ha Tam Dang

In the evening hours of July 7, 2024, in Sacramento, our beloved mother, Ha Dang, passed away peacefully after a 6-year battle with lung cancer. Ha was a cherished mother, a devoted wife, and dearly loved by her family.

She was born in 1944, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She immigrated with the family to the United States in 1986 and settled in Sacramento, CA.

Ha was energetic, joyful, strong-willed, dedicated, and full of life. She always prioritized her family. She was a great organizer, had a tireless work ethic, and was an exceptional chef who mastered many cuisines. She was a chef for our family restaurant for many years and was particularly skilled at making traditional festival delicacies. She loved outdoor adventures and spending time traveling with family. She also enjoyed singing along with music while cooking or performing other tasks.

She found her soulmate at a young age and gave birth to 10 children, 5 boys, and 5 girls. She was deeply loved by her husband, and they celebrated their 60th anniversary on April 2, 2024.

Ha is survived by her beloved husband, Nguyen Luong, and 8 children: Katie, Huey, Jennifer, Vivian, Tim, Susan, David, and Maggie; as well as many sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and numerous grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. followed by Burial Service at 11:00 a.m. in East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park & Mortuary.

The reception will be held at Well Season Restaurant, 9089 Bruceville Rd Elk Grove, CA 95758 In lieu of flowers and donations can be made to  Lungevity  https://www.lungevity.org/?form=GeneralDonations to help people with lung cancer live longer and fuller lives.
