Glen Leroy Babby

Glen L. Babby, our beloved father and grandfather, peacefully entered into rest on May 29, 2026, at the age of 83. He is now reunited in heaven with Carol, his cherished wife of 57 years. Glen was born on August 24, 1942, to Maurice Babby and Isabelle Livermont. He made Sacramento his home, where he and Carol lovingly raised their family. He was a devoted father to Wayne (Cyndi) and David (Jamie), and a proud, caring grandfather to Derek, Sarah, and Tori. He shared a special bond with each of his grandchildren and took great joy in being part of their lives. Glen enjoyed coaching his sons’ baseball teams and later cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. He loved fishing, golfing, playing cards, and, most of all, spending time with his family. In recent years, he was an active and valued member of the Optimist Club. In addition to raising a family, Glen built a long and successful career with the State of California, where he worked for 36 years before retiring. Glen is survived by his brother, Maurice (Linda) Babby, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Babby and Isabelle Livermont; his brothers, Wilson and Gordon; and his sister, Reva. An inurnment ceremony will be held on June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Cemetery, 4300 Folsom Blvd.
