Gilbert Pepito Leyva

Gilbert Pepito Leyva peacefully passed on December 1st 2019, after he lost his battle to kidney disease. Gilbert was born August 10, 1955 to parents Peter D. Leyva and Mary Lou Ortega. Gilbert is survived by his wife of 30 years Francine Leyva. Gilbert had 6 children: Vera Lopez, Brandy, Jason, Peter, Joseph, and Ashley Leyva. Gilbert was a loving grandfather to David Jr., Desinee, Daniel, Diamond, Domonique, Jalissa, Anthony and Michael Lopez, Joseph Jr. and Avianna Leyva and Micaela Mendoza. He is also survived by his brothers: Manuel and Ricky Leyva, Joey Rodriguez, Bob, Pete and Junior Sobrepena. Sisters: Ramona Zammaron and Darlene Leyva and deceased sister Lupe Brooks and brother Mike Leyva and many nieces and nephews. Services to be held on December 12, 2019 at 2 PM at East Lawn Mortuary. Address as follows: 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841. There will be a Celebration of Life directly after at Gilbert’s home following the service.
