Geraldine "Gerry" Loraine Mechler

Geraldine Loraine Mechler, loving daughter, niece, cousin, teacher, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 14, 2023 at the age of 94.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Robert and Belva Mechler (Sacramento, CA) and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Geraldine was born October 13, 1928. She lived in Vacaville, CA on a ranch, which she often talked about with fondness, and then moved to Carmichael, CA. Geraldine worked hard and earned several degrees including a Masters of Arts degree. She had a smart mind, was fluent in Spanish, worked for the state transportation dept., and then went on to be a teacher for over 20 years, until she retired. Geraldine had perfect penmanship. She was a good seamstress and often made her own dresses.

Geraldine loved to travel, was a devoted Christian, a lover of dogs, and had a giving heart. She contributed to many charities that were near and dear to her.
