George Robert Colvin

On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, George Robert Colvin beloved brother of his surviving siblings died at Kaiser Hospital, Morse Avenue, Sacramento, California. He was 68 years of age.

George graduated C.K. McClatchy High School and then attended Cal Poly San Louis Obispo. When he left college, he headed for Alaska. He pursued his hunting interests and was offered a job as a guide while there. George was active in Ducks Unlimited and Sacramento Safari Club and became a real artist using the medium of taxidermy. He also worked in the tile business for many years before taking over his father’s award winning his tile business.

George aka. “Geo, friend of all mankind” was always everyone’s favorite uncle. He hosted the holidays at his home every year. This past Thanksgiving he hosted 23 family members for Thanksgiving dinner.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Martha Colvin, and his brother Curtis Andrew Colvin.
He is survived by Brothers Wallace, Peter, and sister Merrie Murphey-Colvin.

Services to be held at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, 12-13-2022 at 1:00 P.M..
