It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Fung Kuen Lu Ng on April 2, 2025, at the age of 97 in Sacramento. Mama, as she was affectionately called, passed away in her sleep quietly early in the morning at the ACC Care Center surrounded by family. She was born on August 29, 1927 in Canton, China to Sing Hop Lu and Sook Wah Lam.
For three generations, Fung Kuen was a homemaker and the matriarch of the family. She raised four children and overlooked the growth of another generation of grandchildren who fondly remember her love and gentle ways. To her many friends, she was known as "YeGoo" or second auntie. She was fondly remembered as a fierce mahjong player and would often tell stories of her kids and grandchildren as she played.
Fung Kuen was preceded in death by her husband, Kam Fool; her brother, Mun Wah; granddaughter, Patricia Yeung; and grandson, Jonathan Ng.
She is survived by her four children: daughter, Wailing and husband Ken Hoi; daughter, Ngang Mee and husband Tit Shing; son, Michael and wife Beverly; and son, Peter and wife Tinna. Forever cherished and remembered by her six grandchildren, Kwan and wife Lara; Guy and wife Megumi; Michael (Chris); Michelle and husband Kim; Jason and wife Dana; and Sarah and husband RJ. Sorely missed by her six great grandchildren, Aria (Jon and Robyn); Jacob and Marley (Michelle and Kim); Felix (Sarah and RJ); Quincy (Jason and Dana); and Kaden (Kwan and Lara).
The family will receive relatives and friends at the East Lawn Memorial Park 4300 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, Wednesday, April 16th from 10:00am - 12:00pm, burial to immediately follow.
