Frank Kyumba

Frank Kyumba, a radiant soul, tragically passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, due to a car accident in California. Frank was born in Malawi on August 21, 1998. In his short time, Frank touched lives as a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. Frank believed in God and he was going to Peace Presbyterian Church from a young age. Frank's departure has created an irreplaceable void, as he embodied kindness, joy, and boundless smiles.

Frank embraced life with an unwavering spirit, spreading laughter and gratitude to all. Frank's memory lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. Frank is survived by his loving parents, Anna and Hillary, and younger brother Mwelu. Frank was also blessed with a multitude of grandparents, uncles, aunties, nieces, and nephews from the Kyumba and Musukwa families, and other extended families located in the United States, Europe, and Africa. Our hearts ache with immeasurable grief yet find solace in the memories and love we shared with Frank.

Frank enjoyed outdoor activities, sports, travelling and cooking. Frank graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and attended Capital Christian High School where he played basketball for the Beaver Nitty Lions and Cougars, respectively. Frank worked at Sky River Casino, DDI Consulting, Champ Sports and was excited to start his new journey with the California Exposition and State Fair.

Frank’s kindness, perseverance, dreams, attitude to overcome obstacles, and succeed will always be in our memories. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. We hope you are at peace, and we will always love you. We know you will always walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, laughing and smiling. We will miss you!

We invite you to join us in bidding farewell to our cherished Frank at his funeral service, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 28, 2023, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., East Lawn South Sacramento, 3939 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA 95820.

Burial: Friday, July 28, 2023, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at East Lawn Elk Grove, 9189 E Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95624
