Frank A. Chavez (Pancho)
Born in Del Rey, CA, to Adelberto and Josefa Chavez, Frank was raised in Brentwood and graduated from Liberty High School. He and his five brothers all served in the military; a proud Army veteran, Frank served his country in Korea. In 1956, he married Mary Lou Quintana, and they shared 69+ years together. Frank dedicated 32 years of service to the State of California before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ralph, Roy, and Louie; and his sisters, Emilia and Sara. He is survived by his brothers, Chris (Evelyn) and Albert (Patty); and his sister, Josie. Frank leaves behind his wife, Mary Lou; his children, Frank Jr., Rosie, and Rachael; his nine grandchildren, Laina, Angelo, Isiah, Jonah, Malia, Lucas, Haley, Ella, and Mariah; and his five great-grandchildren, Ayla, Illieri, Kai, Levi, and Brynley.
Our dad was a man of few words, but his facial expressions and one-liners always made us laugh. He was always ready to offer you a shot, enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, loved his cigars, and remained a loyal fan of the Silver & Black por vida.
Salud, Dad, until we see you again. Vaya con cuidado
