In Loving Memory of Evangelina Vasquez Sosa,
People know Evangelina Sosa as Dona Eva or Evita, and most likely got to know her here at St. Joseph’s Parish. This church was very important to her, as she was a devout Catholic her entire life.
Evangelina had five children, one girl and four sons, and a loving husband. She worked hard in factories and cleaning houses until she retired. Then she got to spend many years caring for the grandkids and who called her Nana. Many life lessons and great memories were created that they cherish today.
After being told of her illness, Evangelina depended on her faith in God and wanted nothing more than to continue to lead as normal a life as possible until the end. Just two days prior to her passing, she was singing songs and joking from her bed making us all laugh. It was wonderful to see, but unfortunately her last hurrah.
Evangelina Vasquez Sosa passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She’s now in our Lord’s Kingdom where she aspired to be throughout her entire life, with her beloved husband and all her siblings, united once again in eternity.
LA FAMILIA SOSA wants to thank you all for being in her life. God bless.
