Eugenio (Gene) was born in the Philippines on January 11, 1929, the youngest child of the late Damaso and Sotera Aguirre.
In college he attended Francisco Law School in Manila. In June 1953, he married his beautiful wife, Iluminada. He was a very good dancer. He and his wife loved to dance to Tennessee Waltz. He immigrated to America in 1968 and was employed by Delta Air Lines for 22 years until he retired. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and watching baseball games.
On January 5, 2023, he was peacefully taken by our Lord. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he touched throughout his memorable life of 93 years.
Even in his last days, he was happy and was able to show his warm smile. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and a loving husband to his wife Iluminada of 69 years. His last words to her were “Mahal kita” (I love you).
He is survived by his wife, Iluminada; children Nolanda, Eric, Henry (Joy), Gina (Rene); grandchildren Christopher, Nicole, Haley, Mariah, and Harry.
The Aguirre family would like to express our deepest appreciation for the love and kindness that we have received during this difficult time. We are truly grateful for your love, prayers, support, and friendship.
