Eugene Lewis Albertson

Eugene was born 11 August 1928 and passed 29 December 2021 at the age of 93. He preferred to be called Gene.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life Beverly and his grandson Scott. Gene was survived by his children Ron, Debbie, Gary, and Laura, and his 4 grandchildren and his 9 great grandchildren.

Gene passed away from a fall and succumbed to his injuries.

He was born in Killbuck Ohio and raised on a little farm by his grandparents.

He wanted something different for his life, so he joined the Army at 17 which led him to meet Beverly at a USO dance in Sacramento California.

They were married for 71 years and lived a love story.

They worked hard and retired at 50 years old.

They spent 20+ years pulling an RV across the US seeing everything and especially loved their extended stays with family in Ohio.

As a hobby he became a self-made craftsman and could build anything and was also a master bricklayer laying 1,000s in his lifetime.

His favorite sport was golf which in his prime he would play weekly. In his later years he enjoyed watching golf on television.

At 93 he was very independent and took pride in caring for himself and caring for his home. After the passing of his wife, he developed a love of cooking. His family was everything to him and we were fortunate enough to make years of wonderful memories with him.

A graveside service will be held on January 10^th 2022 at 10 AM, East Lawn Cemetery, 5757 Greenback Lane Sacramento California.
