Eugene J. Fong

Eugene passed away peacefully in Sacramento at the age of 100 years. Born in Canton, China he moved to Sacramento in 1936.

Preceded in death by his parents Mr. and  Mrs. King Fun Fong, brothers Wing Coon Kwong, Sun Quin Kwong, sister Shui Lan Kong, and wife Mon Von Fong.

Served in the United States Air Force 12/29/1942 – 1/22/1946. He returned to China after  military service to marry Mon Von Yee, and move to Sacramento.

Survived by children: Calvin, Alvin, Rod (Susan), Susan (Gerald) and Jay (Susana). Also survived by grandchildren Bryan, Travis, and Jordan Yee; Aaron, Chris and Lauren Fong; Jillian Fong; and many great grandchildren , nieces and nephews. 
Described by family as nice, kind and friendly with an engaging smile which will be missed. He was a sports fan who loved the Oakland A’s. He was a small business owner in the grocery business for many years. Private Services will be held.
