Eleuterio "Carlos" Leyva

September 8, 1968 — September 23, 2021

Eleuterio "Carlos" Leyva was born September 8th, 1968 in Michoacan, Mexico. He immigrated from his ranch style upbringing to the city of San Francisco in the Mission District at the age of 11. That’s where his passion for the 49ers was born and became a faithful fan. He also found himself in the golden age of the 80's music, arcade games, and simply being a happy-go-lucky man. He made friends everywhere he went and was the life of the party. He often traveled to a small town in El Salvador and was known by the locals as the "The Mexican Governor of Nueva Guadalupe ". Locals and family members knew when he was in town the never ending good times were about to begin. His laugh was so contagious and memorable that a neighbor remembers hearing him laugh often from her side of the property. Carlos loved to play golf and relax with beer in hand. Carlos became a pillar in the Sacramento and Bay area community by offering the utmost quality as a roofer. Carlos spent 32 years roofing. He described loving his profession and longed going onto roofs to a peer at the beginning of this summer. Carlos met his wife, Eva Siry Campos Leyva, in the early 90's and got married in 2005. The couple remained happy and in love up until Carlos's passing. Carlos fought cancer in the later stage of his life becoming a hero to his family.  Carlos had survived by his wife, 4 children, mother, brothers, sisters, grandchild, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and we cannot forget all his friends in the states and internationally. He was an honest, generous, and caring man with the best sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.
