Elaine Miller East

Having taken her last breath on earth...Elaine Miller East experienced the fresh air of heaven on November 19, 2023 after a battle with pneumonia. Elaine was born in Kamas, Utah in 1941. Elaine grew up in Provo, Utah and lived most of her life in the Bay Area where she met her future husband David. Having been married to David for 50 years, her joy was to raise a family and took pride in her excellent skills as a homemaker.

She enjoyed cooking, singing, and making greeting cards to stay in touch with the family and friends she dearly loved. Her time working selling Avon, or Princess House cookware, or tending children centered around homemaking.  She loved to hear of how her three children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren were experiencing life. Though she fought through a series of illnesses throughout her life, she would host many at family gatherings to celebrate holidays and special occasions.

Elaine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was loved and cared for after the passing of her beloved husband David by her loving family through the many friendships that developed through church and among her neighborhood friends in both Elk Grove and Turlock California. 

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will always be loved and remembered. Elaine is survived by her sons Russell (Tammy) Steven (Janna) and Jason (Stacey) East; seven grandchildren Alexandra, Katelyn, Jack, Alyssa, Noah, Logan, Madelyne, Gloria and Ernest. Elaine was predeceased by her husband David East, mother Eva McDowell, father LaMar Miller and sister Susanne Selph.
