Edward Morales, a dedicated family man who loved unconditionally, passed away at the age of
72 on Saturday, January 8, 2022 with his family by his side.
Ed was born to Juan Morales and Josephina Perez on March 25, 1949 in Sacramento,
California. For over 40 years, he was a truck driver who loved being on the road. Work was one
of Edâs deepest passions where he always gave 100% and beyond. He consistently remained a
hardworking man with integrity in whatever he was doing. Some of his career pursuits included
Hedlund Lumber, Columbo Baking Company, Diamond Line Trucking, Penske Moving Trucks,
and more.
Ed loved traveling and adventure. Some of his travels included fishing trips with his son in
Northern California, visiting his sister in Oregon, camping with friends in Idaho, and visiting
various other cities and states such as Seattle, Chicago, Colorado, Arizona, Yellowstone
(Montana), Ohio, Indiana, and more. In nature experiencing the great outdoors was where you
would find him. Edâs other hobbies included working on cars, beating everyone in Phase 10,
playing along with Family Feud, and watching his beloved 49ers.
Above all else, Ed loved his family deeply. He coached all of his children in baseball, never
missed a birthday or special event, and supported them in all of their endeavors. This love
extended to his grandchildren where he was there for every birth, graduation, school award,
sporting event, and so much more. He is deeply loved, valued, and will truly be missed.
Edward is survived by his loving family to include his wife Betty Morales, his 3 children Edward
Morales Jr., Irene White (Toussaint), and Christopher Morales (Velina). His 10 grandchildren

coming this May and his first great-grandson arriving this January. Edward is also survived by
his three siblings Joe, Teddy, and Richard.
