It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edmundo B. Palacio, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who left us on February 5, 2025 at the age of 78. He was described as a great provider to his family and a hardworking man by his wife.
Eddie was a phenomenal bowler and loved to cheer on his favorite basketball team, PBA San Miguel and Humperdinck. He did not discriminate when it came to movies as Eddie would watch all of them. From old Tagalog romance movies to action packed comedies, he would be there sitting alongside you to watch it.
Eddie was a man of few words but when he did speak, he was sure to make everyone in the room laugh. He was so hardworking and family oriented that Eddie would sometimes start work at 3am and get home at 7pm. His children describe him to be a good listener, a great leader, genuine, and devoted to his family. He was a true man of God.
Eddie was born int he Philippines where he graduated form the Arellano University with a Bachelor's of Science in Commerce Major in Accountancy. His first job was as a bookkeeper for general merchandising and persevered to become the head of the general accounting department. Through his hard work and braveness, he moved from the Philippines to L.A.. Eddie was not only an intelligent business man but an entrepreneur. He opened and managed his own home appliance shop, auto repair shop, barber shop, beauty salon, and computer shop all located in one building.
Despite him working long hours, he still ensured to be present and devoted to his wife and family. Eddie and his wife Lorelei, met as schoolmates and married on January 18th, 1970. This last month marked their 55th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his children, Edmund Paul Palacio, Lalaine Hollman, and Edmundo Palacio Jr., his grandchildren, Marc Allen Palacio, Charles Keith Hollamnn, and Danielle Nicole Hollmann, and abundant loving nieces and nephews. We will never forget the kindness, patience, and love you provded us. We will forever cherish the countless memories and the impactful lessons he left behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, February 21st, 2025 located at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park. A luncheon will follow after his burial.
