Edgar V. Yabut

Edgar Velarde Yabut was born in the Philippines. He came to the United States in 1972 at the age of ten and later graduated from Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento.

Edgar proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and worked at Sacramento Bee for 13 years. He married Elizabeth (Lisa) Avila, the love of his life on 10/5/1991.

He continued his professional career at CPM as a mechanic and hydraulic specialist, where his skills and dedication were highly respected. Edgar resided in Sacramento for 53 years, building lasting friendships and a strong family foundation.

Edgar is preceded in death by his mother Engracia Yabut, father Jose Yabut, and son Mario Matthew.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his brother Jaime and his wife Shirley Yabut and Sister Josephine and her husband Terry Snavely and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.

Personal Life & Legacy:

His hobby and passion is fishing which he enjoyed very much and working on cars. Edgar was also a very good handyman. He loves spending time with his family and friends. Edgar will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and unwavering kindness.
