Dr. Leland V. Schmidt

Dr. Leland V. Schmidt D.V.M, a life long resident of ElK Grove, Ca, passedaway on March 18, 2024. He was born to George and Lydia Schmidt on April 21, 1929m in Franklin Ca.
Leland attended Franklin Elementary School and Elk Grove High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 as a meat inspector. He graduated from U.C. Davis in 1959, with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.
Leland was the founder of Bradshaw Veterinary Clinic, where he specialized in large animal care.
Leland excelled in the art of wood working and creating fine furniture. He also obtained his private pilot license and enjoyed flying his family on various vacations.
Leland leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Virginia Bernice Schmidt, three children, Karen V. Schmidt - Provencher (Charles),
Kathy A. Schmidt, and Kevin L. Schmidt (Julee, and nine grandchildren, and a great grandson expected in July.
A celebration of his life will be held on May 25, 2024 at 11:00 am at
Point Pleasant United Methodist church,
