Dorothy Jane O'Connor

Dorothy J. O’Connor, 91 of Sacramento, CA passed away peacefully on Feb. 11, 2023 after a short illness.
Born in Rockford, Illinois on Dec. 2, 1931 to Philip Doheny and Francie “Hattie” Wehinger, Dorothy moved to Southern California as a young child. Later the family moved to San Jose, CA where she graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1949.
In 1952, she married Russel O’Connor. They moved to Sacramento, CA n 1959, later divorcing in 1981.
She worked fo0r the State of California Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics as a stenographer and Word Processor Technician for 23 years before retiring in 1995. 
Dorothy was preceded in death by her two children, Russel “Rusty” O’Connor Jr. and Debra O’Connor.
Dorothy was a living mother and a faithful friend. Her beautiful smile lit up a room.
