Dorothy Yee Colon

On Thursday, December 28, 2023, at seventy-five, Dorothy Yee Colón passed away.  Beloved wife, sister, stepmother, and step grandmother, Dorothy is survived by William Colón, her beloved husband of thirty-four years, and several family members. Born to Wee Ley and Li Tse Mei Yee, Dorothy began working in the family restaurant at a young age. She went on to become a medical assistant and later worked for the California Department of Public Health, Women, Infants & Children Program until she retired in 2018.

Dorothy loved cooking for family and friends and to head out of town on road trips and hikes.  She also enjoyed old TV shows, especially John Wayne westerns, and mystery novels.  An animal lover, Dorothy looked forward, in her later years, to watching the darling interactions between her husband and the two feral cats that adopted him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3^rd at 11:30 a.m. at the Lucky Jade Restaurant in Sacramento, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please consider making a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in Dorothy's name:  https://www.kidney.org/
