Our dear mother Dixie Lee Christenson sadly passed at the age of 85. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Sacramento, CA. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Bud, John, Roberta and Jackie and is survived by her three children Chris, Dianna, Robin and four grandchildren Arlo, Patrick, Isaac and Jessica. After a divorce with John Christenson in the early 60's mom attended Sacramento City College, Sacramento State University and graduated with a Masters in Public Administration. She worked for Sacramento County Hospital later named UC Davis Medical Center in Mental Heath Administration and was Hospital Accreditation officer before retiring after 35 years of service. She Started a Fiscal Accounting Service Called Dataworks about 1980 through 1990 providing Mental Health billing and Attorney billing service. She worked political campaigns, was a member of Sacramento Gem and Mineral Society, Genealogical Society, Gypsy Traders, Mayflower Descendants, but stayed very active volunteering for different veterans groups. A member of the Sacramento Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution for 26 years, her DAR service included California State Chair DAR Service for Veterans and Sacramento Chapter Librarian.
