Debbie K. Fakalata passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with unexpected health issues. Survived by her beloved children, daughter Keala Fakalata Peniata, son Samisoni Fakalata, son-in law Alapaki Peniata, grandson Tomasi Peniata, and mother Chizuko Kuwaye. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Sateki Fakalata, father Y. Buddy Kuwaye, sister Amy K. Tablit and brother in-law Walter Tablit. Born in Rio Vista, California Debbie loved Hawiian music and Polynesian dance. Earned her BA from CSUS in Business Administration and Management and was a CFO in the banking industry for many years. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she was known for her dedication and service to the church and touched many, many lives. Debbie will always be remembered for her unconditional love, kindness, service to others, and love for music. Debbie gave so much more than she asked of the world and both family and friends are so very blessed to have had her in our lives. She will truly be missed. A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, January 8, at 12:00 noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1780 Yulupa Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95404. Debbie will be laid to rest Sunday, January 9, at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Elk Grove, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove CA 95624.
