David "Junior" Balaba

On Friday, October 22, 2021, David Angelo "Junior" Balaba, a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend went to be with the Lord at the age of 37.

David was born on January 13, 1984 in Sacramento, CA to David and Annette Balaba. He owned and operated a small lure company (Biohazard Bait Company). He was married on April 19, 2008 to Leticia where they blended families. While their marriage wouldn't last forever, as they hoped, David and Leticia remained close until he passed away. As a team, they raised their two children, Anthony Vega and Natalie Balaba.

David had a passion for fishing, hunting and cooking. His talent was recognized nationally when orders for his lures started coming in from across the nation. He thoroughly enjoyed passing on his knowledge of each hobby with friends, family and strangers. David was known for his infectious laugh, wittiness, genuine compassion and heart for the people he knew and loved.

He is survived by his parents Dave and Annette Balaba. His sisters Stephanie Martinez and Kristine Gilmore. His children Anthony Vega and Natalie Balaba and his grandmas, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We know that David is now with his grandpas Ignacio Balaba and Mike Moreno and will forever be missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at RiverCity Church at 11:00am on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 9585 Laguna Springs Dr. Elk Grove, CA 95758. All family and friends are welcome to come celebrate with us and remember David.
