Darlene Mae Cosgrove

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, Darlene Mae Cosgrove passed away. She was Ninety-Two. Born to Hazel Schiemann Fulton and Merton Carner in Oakland, she moved to the Grass Valley area to live with her dad and stepmom as a child. She married the love of her life Laurence Cosgrove, and they had one daughter, Christine, born in 1949. They traveled the country and abroad to places like Germany because of her husband's work in the military. She loved to cook and kept a lovely home. At one point she worked as a massage therapist at the YWCA.

Darlene was humble yet smart and witty. She was a strong support to her late husband for 54 years and was always supportive of her family. Fair, yet firm, she offered a great foundation of inspiration to those around her. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Morgan, her grandson, Joshua Morgan, and her great-granddaughter, Sophia Morgan, as well as her sister, Carol Lynch, and several nieces and nephews. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.
