Dalice G. Lee

Dalice Georgene (Sapunor, Simmons) Lee was born on May 19th, 1955 in Red Bluff, California to George Sapunor and Lorena Dalice Melvin. Dalice passed away on November 13th, 2022 at the age of 67 at the University of California San Francisco Hospital with her family by her side.

She is survived by her husband, Laurin Lee, children from first marriage (Dennis Simmons) Alicen (Adam) and James, stepchildren Kelly and Laurin Jr., grandchildren Alissa, Aiden, Aric, Avery, Anna, Bethany, and Brooklyn, adopted sister Sandy and many cousins of the Melvin Family.

Dalice graduated from Norte Del Rio High School in 1973. She took classes at American River College. She was a devoted and loving mom, volunteering in her kids’ classrooms, was a noon aid, and Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed the outdoors skiing and backpacking in the Desolation Wilderness. Dalice and Laurin traveled, went on many cruises, and spent a lot of time with their grandchildren. She liked crafts, sewing, baking, game nights, but enjoyed camping at Wrights Lake most of all.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dalice’s favorite charities, the American Lung Association or the Sierra Club.
