Daisy Lillian Edwards

Our loving mother, Daisy Lillian Edwards (nee Henry), passed peacefully on December 17, 2022, in Sacramento, California, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind daughters Phyllis (Mark), Patricia (Bobby), Rita, Carla (David), Joan, Angela and Esther; sons Jerry Jr. (Aimee) and Peter; granddaughters Selina, Shakira, Anya, Jheanell, Bridgette and Shannon; grandsons Manuel Jr., Marc, David, Vincent, William Jr., Andrew, Jason and Shane; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Daisy was born on April 2, 1931, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Daniel and Esther Henry. She attended Alpha High School for Girls in Jamaica and later met and married the love of her life Jerry Edwards.  They lived in Jamaica where they raised their seven girls and three boys (oldest son, Maurice pre-deceased her in 1963 and her husband in 1977).  Daisy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She lived by example and raised her children with unconditional love.  Daisy is reunited in Heaven with her late husband, son and other family members who pre-deceased her and is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Visitation will be held on January 4, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel located in the Art Deco main building, 4300 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento, followed by a service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and interment at 12:30 p.m.  Repast immediately after in the Green Room at the same location.
