Dacie Mae Welch

February 18, 1937 — April 8, 2024

Dacie Welch passed away in her sleep on April 8, 2024, from heart complications. Dacie joins her husband, Edmond Welch and her children, Marlene Almond and Edward Welch. Dacie’s parents and 10 brothers and sisters have also preceded her in death. Dacie is survived by her grand children, Andrea Cooley and Mindy Welch and over 30 nieces and nephews.
Dacie worked at Sacramento City College for 15 years as a cook and baker. She loved working at the college and cooking for the students. Dacie was a very social person, she never met a stranger. Her positive upbeat attitude made everyone love her. She loved to get the family together during the holidays and cook all kinds of food. Like her brother Don, Dacie loved her plants and garden. In the summer evenings you could find her outside watering her plants.
Dacie’s church was her life for a long time. She enjoyed the fellowship and teaching the kids in Sunday school. Through all the life changes and health issues, she never lost her faith.
Dacie will be missed.
