God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, “Come to Me.’
With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away
And although we love you dearly
We could not make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

It is with sadness that we must share the heartbreaking news that our mother Cynthia Marie Walker was taken from us on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 6:55pm. Cindy, as we all knew her, was only 56 years young. Our beautiful mother left this earth while holding the hand of her youngest child Elyse.
Cindy was born in Mount Shasta, Ca in 1966 to Sharon Walker and Al Ross. She grew up in McCloud, Ca. as the middle child of 3. In 1992 Cindy moved to Fair Oaks, Ca.
Cindy leaves behind four amazing and beautiful children, Leslie Huffman, Kalani, RJ, and Elyse Pistorius. She also is survived by her brother Eddie, and four grandsons, Noah, Randy, Alec, and August. However, she also has a trail of stepchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who all adored her and will miss her dearly.
Cindy was a complicated simple person. A fierce gentle mother. She raised her children on her own for the most part and they were her greatest joy. She was her happiest when she was spending time with them. Cindy was an excellent cook…making Taco’s, baking, and cooking anything that her grandsons wanted these will be some of their fondest memories.
Cindy loved taking vacations to Disneyland, Hawaii, Mexico, and anywhere that allowed her to be together with family and friends. She often took trips to Mt Shasta to see her younger brother Eddie or to fit in a fishing trip with her best friend Dawn and her husband, only to turn around and go home the same day.
Cindy was extremely selfless, always putting others first, whether she was giving money to someone in need or being a listening ear when someone was in pain.
Cindy worked for Malin Realty for the last 9 years of her life. She gave her all to them and enjoyed those she was able to serve daily.
We are going to miss our mother, grandmother, and friend. We will miss her smile, her laugh, our conversations about life, love, and God. We will fondly remember waiting to see what cute pair of shoes she would be wearing each day…she was quite the shoe connoisseur, rarely wearing the same pair more than once.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for lending Cindy to us for this short time. We are sad you called her home, but trust that you will love her and take care of her. Please hug her for us and tell her we miss her terribly.
