Clyde E. Wellsworth passed away October 31, 2022 at age 93 and 10 months in Sacramento, California after one year of serious pneumonia, COPD, and pancreatitis.
Preceding Clyde in death was one step-son Richard Hutchinson and a late wife Clarice.
He is survived by his wife Golda, being married 40 years, son Jay Wellsworth & wife Sonja, daughter Tina Watson & fiancÃ© Mark Herrenkohl, two step-sons & their wives: Vic Hutchinson & Millie, Sid Hutchinson & Tangie. He is also survived by seventeen grand children: Christi & Shawn Tiede, Becky Reitnauer, Jeffrey & Katie Watson, Adam & Jamie Hutchinson, Vic II & Stacie Hutchinson, Aaron & Adrian Sandberg, Mandy & Cameron Cox, Eric & Stephanie Arencibia, Caleb & Shannon Wasson. Clyde also leaves behind eleven great grandchildren: Christian & Sophie Tiede, Owen & Landon Hutchinson, Zoey Hutchinson, Payton & Collin Cox, Sawyer & Sloan Hutchinson, Cayden & Landon Arecibia.
Clyde served in the Navy from February 1946 until January 1951, Fleet Atlantic and Pacific aboard USS Hyades and was Welterweight Champion from 1947-1948. He last employment was a truck driver for Safeway with approximately 17 years of service to the company. He retired in February of 1986 due to a back injury.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling in the motor home and will be remembered and missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
Clyde's service will be held at East Lawn Elk Grove: 9189 E. Stockton Blvd. at 10:00 AM followed by a luncheon at the Brookside Restaurant and Bar: 9819 Horn Rd. in Sacramento
