Clorinda Navarrette, affectionately known as Linda, peacefully passed away on July 6, 2023, in Sacramento, CA at the age of 96. She was born on October 3, 1926. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Navarrette, Sr., and her son, Frank Navarrette, Jr. She is survived by her son, Henry Navarrette, her grandchildren, Mariah and Kent Navarrette, and her great granddaughters, Belle and Aurora Villafan.
Linda's journey began when she met Francis Navarrette, Sr. while he was stationed in Panama. Their love story blossomed, leading them to marry and make their home in the United States.
Throughout her life, Linda remained deeply committed to giving back to her community. She generously donated to numerous charities, particularly those dedicated to providing food for children and funding cancer research for young patients. Her philanthropic endeavors were a testament to her caring and compassionate nature.
Linda found solace and strength in her faith as a devout Catholic. She frequented multiple parishes throughout her adult life, finding comfort and inspiration in her religious community. Her unwavering devotion and spirituality were sources of guidance and inspiration for those around her.
Linda will forever be remembered as a beacon of class and compassion. Behind her quiet demeanor, she possessed a brilliant intellect and a wealth of knowledge. Her presence was a source of warmth and love to all who knew her, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
Visitation services to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at East Lawn Cemetery in Elk Grove, California, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to pay their respects and share cherished memories during this time.
