In Loving Memory of Clifford Harry Arnold

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford Harry Arnold, who departed this life on June 16, 2026, at the age of 94.

Cliff was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Albert Elliot Arnold and Lillian Arlene Foster Arnold. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert Arnold.

At the age of 17, Cliff joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve before later serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War, where he proudly worked as a cook in service to his country.

Cliff is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Annette Arnold; his children and their spouses, Matthew Arnold (Jennifer Arnold), Megan Maxwell (Jared Maxwell), Derek Larsen (Tami Larsen), and Joanne Larsen-Linarez; his grandchildren, Saterra Robinson, Alfonso “AJ” Linarez, Carter Larsen, and Skyler Larsen; and his great-grandchildren, Audrey Robinson, Evelyn Robinson, Quinton Robinson, and Juliana Robinson.

For more than 30 years, Cliff dedicated his life to educating and inspiring young minds as an elementary school teacher. He was known for his playful sense of humor, often sharing jokes with his students, and for filling his classroom with country music. Many former students fondly remember learning to draw mountains and their hands under his guidance. Beyond academics, Cliff provided structure, encouragement, and mentorship to countless children, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students.

Outside the classroom, Cliff enjoyed camping, exploring ghost towns, and traveling with his wife. He found joy in reading, watching classic westerns, and, most of all, spending time with his family. His kindness, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, California 95841. A luncheon will follow the service.

Though Cliff is no longer with us, his legacy of service, education, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, former students, and all whose lives he touched.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
