Chui Chu Leung

Born February 1, 1940 in Toishan, China, and passed away on June 8, 2022 at age 82 in Sacramento, Chui Chu Leung is survived by her two sons and daughter in laws, David and Sophia, Stanley and Laura and 4 grandchildren: Isabella, Lucas, Tyler and Ryan.

Chui emigrated from China to Hong Kong where she married her husband Wing Leung then together emigrated to the United States in 1970 with their two sons David and Stanley for hope of a better life and opportunities. She & her husband started out in Sacramento then moved to Oakland then moved back to Sacramento where she had resided for the past 50 years. Her 1st job in the US was a seamstress and worked very hard in sweat shops for years, she did many years of cannery work for companies like Libby and Sierra Fruit Company. She also picked cherries in Lodi for many seasons as well; she always enjoyed helping her family when she can; she loved helping her brother Bing Sun at their Taylor Shop & Chinese convenient store on 16th Street in downtown Sacramento. Some of her favorite things to do included watching Chinese drama shows, playing slot machines at casinos, gardening, cooking was her passion; she loved to cook food for people to make them happy; especially for her kids & her grandkids.

She will be missed✝️🙏🙌🏼☀️!!!
