They moved to the Sacramento area in 1956 and in 1961 she bought a drive - in - restaurant and managed it and was able to pay it off in one year. She took a vacation and Pete managed it for two weeks and said, "I'm going back to UPS because this is way too much work". They decided to sell because Christine unexpectedly found out she was having Kari. She set a wonderful example and trained her girls to work hard and take care of home and family. She had several different jobs. She worked at the school cafeteria, House of Fabrics, and had her own house cleaning business but her main priority was taking care of her family and anyone who needed help. She also taught her kids to work for their employers like they were working for God. Christine was a faithful follower of Jesus and a member of the church of Christ. Her greatest desire was for her loved ones to walk faithfully with the Lord.

She left high school to marry Pete but as promised to her mother she graduated from Del Campo high school in 1974. She was influential in many lives. She and Pete often had friends and relatives live with thshe em who needed some help. Their home was very welcoming. It was a place where many gathered to spend time together and there was always singing.

She loved big and will be missed dearly.

And she was always the calm in everyone's storm.
