Charlie Boyd Porter passed away in his home on February 18, 2026. He was known by many names: Papa, Grandpa, Husband, Bubba, Cho, Chuck - the list is endless. Charlie was loved by many including his wife, Tina (Little Smiley), his daughters Savannah (Huddler) and Annalee (TT), his grandchildren- Lilly, Bailey and Jaxon, as well as his extended family and massive network of friends. He drew people in with his smile and authentic personality. He was born and raised in Susanville and shared his love for Eagle Lake and trout fishing. with his family. Nature always made him feel at peace. He was grandpa to all the children in his life and they loved his caring nature and willingness to do anything for them and with them. He made many trips to the dinosaur park and Starbucks runs for his grandchildren. He loved to golf with his family, couldn’t be more proud of his daughters, enjoyed caring for his grandchildren, and had many adventures with his wife in their RV together. His family is at peace knowing he is enjoying all the Reggae music, ice cream, coffee and Pepsi he can. He loved genuinely and had a beautiful full life that built a web of generational love that will be carried on. Charlie is loved fiercely and his memory will live on in the hearts of all that he loved. He is greatly missed.
