On Monday, February 20, 2023, a beloved husband, father, and friend, Celos George Davis, passed away.
Affectionately known as George, he was born in San Diego, California, to father Celus George Davis, Sr., and mother Learlean Anderson Davis. The eighth of ten children, Celos attended school and grew up in San Diego, where he eventually joined the United States Army and began to work in the medical field. As a military nurse, Celos was a recognized soldier receiving medals for humanitarian service, military merit, and good conduct. He served in the military for 25 years allowing him and his family to travel the world. One of the highlights of his military service was being stationed at Presidio Army Base in San Francisco. Celos eventually retired to live in Sacramento, California.
Celos obtained an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Columbia College.
Celos was an avid lover of jazz music, old-school R&B, and comedians for their ability to make people laugh. He also enjoyed watching westerns, attending or watching horse races, and buying lottery tickets. He loved spending time with his family and friends, reminiscing about the old days, and creating new memories.
Celos was a Mason and a Pleasant Hill Christian Praise Center church member.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn McCants Davis; children Christopher Davis, Reeshemah Davis, Ceily Tracey (Greg) Davis, and Kyshia Tamar Davis; grandchildren, Jahvannah Davis, Jahnessah Davis, Azaria Davis, and Aaralyn Bree Davis; and a host of extended family and friends.
