Caroline Louise Casipit, 86, of Elk Grove, passed away on January 9, 2024, after a short illness at her home at WellQuest Senior Living. She had resided in Elk Grove since 2018. Prior to that she lived in Prescott Valley, AZ for 22 years and in Hayward, CA for 40 years. She was born on Maui on December 7, 1937, to Joseph and Ludwina Boteilho.
She graduated from Molokai High School and worked at Mother’s Cookies in Oakland for 20 years, making many dear friends along the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Calvin Casipit, of Hayward. She is survived by her sons, Calvin & Natalie Casipit, of Alaska, Clayton Casipit & Qi Meng, of California, and Clifton Casipit, of Tennessee, daughter-in-law Monica Casipit, of Alaska, seven grandchildren, Caroline & Joe Eller, Cassandra & Cameron Smith, Kelson & Laura Warford, Stefanie & Bailey Whitten, Alison Casipit, Melody & Jason Mar and Christopher Casipit and seven great grandchildren, Kalem Warford, Rylan Warford, Kayson Eller, Justus Eller, Mathias Eller, Iris Mar and May Mar.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Boteilho, of Chino Valley, AZ. She is survived by brother, Lawrence & Mary Boteilho, of Wenatchee, WA, and her sisters, Charlotte Sullivan, of Mountain View, HI, Eileen & Padriac Gardner, of Vacaville, CA, Eleanor & Mike Mastropaolo, of Star, ID, Rosemary & Bud Briant of Willits, CA, Bernadette & Burt Corral, of Elk Grove, CA, and Joanne Collins & Larry Lincoln of Vacaville, CA.
Memorial services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA on March 22, 2024, at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations be sent to the St. Jude Foundation or to ONR Rehab-WellQuest, Elk Grove, CA.
