Brett M. Smith

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Brett M. Smith passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 30, 2021 after a short illness. He was born September 13, 1976 to Carolyn and Jerry Smith in Sacramento, California and lived in Northern California his entire life.

Brett is survived by his son Brailen and daughter Hailey, their mother Natalie, son Joseph, his mother Sara, step daughter Alyssa, her husband David, parents Jerry and Carolyn, sister Holly, niece Madison, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Tammy, and numerous cousins.

He was a kind soul who would never hesitate to offer help or give the shirt off his back to those in need.  He was loved, and will be fondly remembered by many.

Brett was a die-hard Raiders fan, often sporting their memorabilia in some fashion. He had a love for old westerns, especially those featuring John Wayne and a passion for fishing. He also had a great sense of humor and was a trivia fan. Brett was a very talented welder, and took great pride in his work.

A service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841. Viewing will be available starting at 1pm. All family and friends are invited to say their goodbyes.
