Bobby Earl Bottoms, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud veteran passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born in Tarboro, North Carolina, on September 8th, 1945, Bobby spent his formative years in Philadelphia, where he developed a deep sense of ambition, resilience, and love for life. He proudly served his county as a flight engineer in the United States Air Force, forging lifelong bonds of brotherhood with his fellow squadron members.
His military service was a source of immense pride, and he carried the values of strength, loyalty, and courage with him throughout his life.
During and after his time in the military, Bobby always chased a path in higher learning and always sought to grow and better himself. He eventually settled in the Sacramento area, where he lived for 46 years and raised his family with love, dedication, and pride. His home became a place of warmth, music, and laughter- often filled with the sounds of soul and old-school tunes that he cherished.
Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Hsiu Bottoms, his two sons, Rob Bottoms and Tony Bottoms, five cherished grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, who brought him endless delight. His legacy lives on through the love and inspiration he gave it his family, both on the East and West Coasts.
He was known for his outstanding and contagious smile, his collection of rare records and shameless shower concerts, his unwavering strength, and his deep love for those around him. Bobby was truly loved by all who knew him-an inspiration, a protector, and a guiding light. He was strong- willed, a fighter for life, and a man who lived with purpose and heart.
He will deeply missed and forever remembered.
Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; leads beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord forever."
