Betty J. Sparks

Betty J. Sparks passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 96. She lived in Sacramento most of her life and retired from state service at the Board of Equalization in 1987. She enjoyed gardening and was happiest outside working in the yard. She loved doing jigsaw puzzles and finished them so fast it was hard keeping her supplied with new ones. She liked crafts and tried everything from macrame, ceramics, and rug hooking to embroidery, crochet, and knitting. Betty loved the Lord and was faithful in spending time reading scripture and daily devotionals and constant in prayers for family, friends, and many others. We are thankful for her life and that she is now at peace rejoicing with Jesus. A graveside service will be held at East Lawn Sacramento, 4300 Folsom Boulevard, at 2:00 pm on February 28, 2025.
