Betty Lore

May 13, 1934 – August 25, 2024

Cameron Park, California

Our dear mother passed away peacefully at home, with a heart full of happiness and love after receiving lots of visits from her children and grandchildren. These visits were filled with love, laughter, short walks, and even a cartwheel show by her great-grandchildren. When Matthew visited, she would hold his hand and not want to let go; they were able to share special conversations and moments together. The week before she passed, Denise put together her favorite music and played all the music they shared together over the years, and mom kept the beat with her hands and feet. She passed holding hands with Marianna and Shelly, praying and reading Psalms together with her Santana CD playing in the background.

Family was the most important thing to her, and that's what defined her. For many years, she planned family vacations with all of us kids and our kids at the beach house in Aptos and later in the summer at Lake Tahoe. The memories from those trips together will forever be in our hearts.

Betty was born to James and Blanche Finch in Sacramento, California, and was one of five children. She graduated from Sacramento High School and married Joseph Lore, her husband of over 40 years. She worked as a supervisor for the State of California's DMV for 35 years before retiring to her beautiful home on the hill in Shingle Springs, CA. She loved her daily walks, and her trips to Apple Hill with the family, sitting outside on the deck reading her Bible lesson, overlooking the valley.

She is fondly remembered by many for her love of laughter, her devotion to family, her enjoyment of playing store with her grandchildren, and her enthusiasm for watching their rehearsed plays. She was always ready with a backup plan “B”, loved making chocolate chip cookies, cherished her time at church, and had a deep love for God who she knew to be Love itself.

Mom is survived by her daughters Denise Ingram, Marianna Milliken (husband Mike), Meshelle Bitker (husband Joe), and son Matthew Lore. Also, her granddaughters Monica Henrich, Nicola Palesak, Amber Lore, and Hannah Young. Her grandsons John Goodridge, Issac Rubalcava, and Joey Bitker. Her great-grandchildren are Landon Grubous, James and Adeline Young, Sophia, Rylee and Maddox Vias, Shyanne Hunsaker, Tiana, Izabel, and Isaiah Rubalcava, Alexander, Ryan and Trey Henrich, Kiana Bitker, and Scarlet Palesak. Her step-granddaughter, Christina Milliken, and her children Priscilla and Anthony. Also, cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Mom was preceded in death by Joseph Lore (husband), Joseph and Daniel Lore (sons), James and Blanche Finch (parents), Jim Finch (brother), Florence Frederick and Carol Ann Finch (sisters).

Private burial at East Lawn Folsom Blvd, Sacramento.

Celebration of Life for family, friends, and relatives to be announced.
