Bessie M Traylor

Bessie was born in Lauderdale, MS to parents Claude and Lettie Mae Naylor on October 7, 1941.  She was the second oldest of 9 children.  She grew up on Cypress Street and went to school in Hattiesburg MS.  

Bessie moved to and lived in E. Palaka FL for a few years before moving to and settling in Northern California.  She worked at Elmwood Convalescent Hospital for 42 years until she retired in 2010. She loved traveling and went on many cruises with friends.  She visited Alaska, The Mexican Riviera and Jamaica to name a few.  She also liked going home to MS to visit with her Brothers and Sisters.

Bessie eventually moved to Elk Grove CA to be near family.  Bessie thrived in the Sacramento area.  She was near her beloved Aunt Geneva (TT) who had a hand in raising her.  She lived in a Senior Community where she had many friends and was well liked and loved.

Bessie is survived by her Daughter Gwendolyn, Grandson Marquis, Grandaughter Amber, Greatgrandaughters Dymond and Zariah, Brother Claude Jr. (Elizabeth), Sister Emma and Brother Raymond (Betty), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bessie was preceded in death by her Parents Claude Sr. and Lettie Mae Naylor, Sister Sallie Mae Sampson, Sister Laura Ree Naylor, Sister Lettie Bee Mollette, her Aunt Geneva Naylor and her Daughter Sandra Jean Naylor.

Her presence is truly missed.
