Bernice M. Bishop

Bernice Madeline Bishop, born November 25, 1933 peacefully passed away on July 2, 2022 at her home at Lake Davis surrounded by her family. 

Bee was born in Los Angeles to Mildred B., and Laverne Williams.  She was united in marriage to James Gordon Bishop on October 20, 1951 in Lancaster, CA. Bee worked for Auburn Union school District until 1990. She was awarded recognition of her dedication to the children of the Auburn Union school along with many other awards. . She was also very instrumental in getting a fire house built for the protection of the Lake Davis community. She lived for the past 30 years at their home at Lake Davis in Portola, CA. She loved hanging out with her family, camping, fishing, any outdoor activities and writing poetry. She is survived by her husband Jim, children, Carri and Gail(Art), 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  One sister Adrian Lee Nelson and many nieces and nephews and in-laws. Preceded in death:  her son Curtis James Bishop, and son-in-law Ronnie Craig and her parents Mildred and Laverne Williams along with other family members.

Pallbearers:  Daniel Bishop, Brandon Lopez, Joshua Bishop, Jacob Craig, Patrick Sarantis and Gabriel Alvarado.

Graveside service will be held at East Lawn Mortuary on 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841 on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 1:00.
