Beatrice Lavoie Johanson

Bea was born on December 17, 1928 in Lawrence, MA. She lived with her mother and father and two brothers. Bea's father died when she was a young girl and she remained devoted to her family throughout her life. AS a young woman, Bea worked in the clothing mills and helped her widowed mother to support her family. Bea was a devoted Roman Catholic and no matter where she resided, she was always giving of her time and energies to her local parish and  helping the priests and staff with maintaining the church facilities ad supporting with fundraisers and other activities. She also supported a missionary priest for many years.

Beatrice was married to her beloved husband Vincent Johanson until the time of his death. Beatrice and Vincent raised two children Carol Ann and Edward. Bea was a devoted wife and mother. She was also a wonderful mother in law to Michael and Elizabeth. Bea was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Cami.

Like all human beings, Bea knew sad times and suffered the loss of many of her loved ones. The loss of her daughter, Carol Ann was especially devastating. However, throughout all the difficult times, Bea never lost or waivered in her spirit and true belief in God and church. Her strength was an inspiration to the rest of her loved ones and helped them all to he through the difficult times.

Even though the last few years of her life were trying, Bea remained the sweet, joyful person that she had been throughout her entire life.
